Craigievern Cottage has its own coop with chickens, providing fresh free range eggs daily for our guests. It is a spacious 4 bedroom holiday cottage (sleeping 8 persons) on a busy 783 acre farm with plenty of farm animals and wildlife. Although rural we are central to exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, Stirling and Glasgow as well as being a couple of miles from our local village Drymen which has a good selection of bars and restaurants. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the cottage.

Craigievern Holiday Cottage is a great base for exploring the area. We have a well equipped open plan kitchen, dining area and living room with a log fire for the winter months. Down stairs is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with bunk beds, Shower room, plus a sunroom with fantastic views of the Campsie Hills. Upstairs we have a large Kingsize bedroom, Twin room and a bathroom. Warm & cosy year round it has central heating & logs for the wood burner.

Free Eggs from our own chickens! The cottage has its own chicken coop and chickens which provide our guests with fresh free range eggs daily. Caring for birds is optional!

Perfect for families getting together. Outside the space continues with a huge garden. There is stream running through the bottom of it with lots of shrubbery. The cottage is beside our farm where we have Cows, Sheep, Poultry and also one or two pigs. There is always something going on, although this will not interfere in anyway with your holiday.

Muddy wheels, mucky boots & dirty paws are very welcome. Don’t worry about leaving your loved ones behind as we welcome pets. We only ask that they are not left alone in the house unsupervised and that if you do return with muddy paws & boots you clean them off outside. Unusually for a working farm, Craigievern are happy to take dogs, but there are a few sensible house rules that must be agreed to in advance.

“No light pollution here”: Our starry skies make this a perfect location for ‘Star Gazing’ and you can’t help but feel rejuvenated by breathing in our clear unspoiled country air.

Year round ‘Peace & Quiet’We are within walking distance to great forestry walks which join the West Highland Way & The Rob Roy Way and we are just 1 mile from the main road yet are very central for exploring the area. Loch Lomond & the Trossachs, Glasgow, Stirling, Argyllshire, Edinburgh are all within the area.

There is always something happening on the farm. Keep a look out and you might also catch a glimpse Deer, Hare and the many Pheasants around. If we are not lambing, then we are calving or shearing sheep, or there are chickens hatching or pigs farrowing. As you drive up through our farm to get the cottage you will get to see the livestock & we are happy to show our cottage guests some of our animals at an arranged time.
