The Lion & Unicorn is a traditional family owned 400 year old country house hotel tucked away just outside Stirling in historic Thornhill (close to Doune). There are 4 en-suite rooms, all have been refurbished to an excellent standard with tea/coffee making facilities and trouser press in all rooms. It has a thriving well used restaurant with top notch food and a ‘locals’ activity filled bar. For the homely touch, there are 3 log burning fires, including a huge 1635 open fireplace in one of the dining rooms.

The Lion and Unicorn oozes history and character.A unique property it is full of many original 17th Century features including large fireplaces spread across a whole wall and wonderful oak beams.

As well as the well loved Public Bar and Games room they also have a lounge bar, family dining room and 2 smaller dining rooms both with real fires. For sunny days there is also a peaceful Beer Garden at the back of the Pub perfect for chilling out in.

Private Functions: The Lion & Unicorn has a wonderful private dining room with a real fire that seats 16 persons. This is perfect for small weddings, family gatherings & other special occasions.
