Welcome to Appletree Cottage! Appletree Cottage is a beautiful self-catering near Drymen and Killearn in Loch Lomond National Park. Recently built to accommodate eight guests in luxury this well appointed self catering cottage is full of warmth and natural light. Its massive open plan living space has stunning views through huge glass windows, a double height lounge, a dining area, a breakfast bar and fully equipped kitchen provide ample room allows guests to move around whilst still being together.

Warm and cosy all year round. Appletree has eco-friendly Biomass powered underfloor heating and hot water together with top of the range insulation keeps the cottage cosy whilst a wood burning stove adds cheer to the winter months.

Lie back and watch the stars! The upstairs bedrooms have windows looking across beautiful countryside as well as windows in the roof so you can lie in bed and watch the night sky. The downstairs bedroom, popular with guests with limited mobility is step free to the living space and outside patio. The secluded patio in the private garden faces south to catch the sun and a barbecue is provided for alfresco dining.

Set in a perfect and peaceful rural setting Appletree’s location is perfect for exploring Loch Lomond whilst being convenient for Glasgow and Stirling (35 mins each) and Edinburgh (75 mins)

1. Nothing in particular: Just sit outside or find a quiet spot inside and enjoy a good book, peace and quiet and chill out.

2. Visit The Trossachs and the 3 Lochs Drive and Go Ape and Scotland’s longest zip wire in Aberfoyle. If you love walking and cycling you can hire bikes locally and explore The Trossachs many hidden Lochs and forest paths.

3. Tackle Ben Lomond on the West Highland Way: One of Scotland’s Munros this is a must for Munro baggers!

4. Visit Glengoyne Distillery: Open all year Glengoyne is a one of Scotland’s most Southerly distilleries.

5. Sail on Loch Lomond via a Sweeneys Cruise and visit The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre at Lomond Shores.

6. Visit Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument. Stirling also has a railway station allowing you to park up and take the train to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh.
