Located at the ‘Gateway to the Highlands’ in an area of outstanding beauty, Balquhidder Braes is just 1 mile north of Strathyre and 1 mile south of Loch Earn in the heart of Rob Roy country. We are surrounded by the ‘5 Lochs’ areas of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and have many species of flora and fauna on and around our site including red squirrels, deer, otters, osprey and wild orchids. Family owned and run and located in the Within the 5 Lochs area in the heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Balquhidder Braes Holiday Park allows guests the chance to truly experience all of Scotland’s beauty in one small area. The National Parks stunning glens and lochs around us are home to an abundance of Wildlife.

Great Facilities for Tourers and Static Pitches. We have a fully serviced toilet block which is centrally heated through the winter months with 2 showers and 4 sinks in both the ladies and gents sides of the block so you’re never needing to wait to use the services. There is also a wash up area, an Elsan disposal toilet and laundry facilities in the block.

Perthshire spring water on tap at no extra cost! Balquhidder Brae’s water supply is a private supply from a spring in the adjacent forest which is then stored in our own reservoir before passing through our on site filtration and uv sanitation unit. The water is tested annually and results are displayed in public areas on the park.

Fancy being spoiled? Balquhidder Braes also has a selection Log Cabins for 4 and 6 persons, some of which also have their own Hot Tubs and Real Fires. “A Few of our favourite Things To Do”:

1. Nothing in particular: Find a quiet spot to enjoy a good book, a glass of wine (or cup of Tea) & chilling out.

2. Spend the day Cycling & Walking: There are 100’s of miles of cyle & walking paths including National Route 7 and the 3 Lochs Drive to Aberfoyle; allow a full day and a packed lunch. The reward is sore legs & a total feeling of exhilaration!

Alternatively, you can drive and stop to enjoy the views. Whilst in Aberfoyle don’t forget to check out Go Ape and the Scotland’s longest zip wire.

3. Tackle a local peak: Ben Lomond is one of Scotland’s Munros & a must for Munro baggers! Located on The West Highland Way you need to drive to get there. Allow plenty of time and be prepared for weather changes. Nearby Ben Vorlich and Ben More are also worth tackling.

4. Visit Doune: Deanston Distillery in Doune is an interesting visit as it’s located in a former Cotton Mill near Doune Castle, whilst in Doune you should also check out the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre.

5. Spend the day in shopping & exploring Stirling: Here you can visit Stirling Castle & The Wallace Monument. Stirling also has a railway station allowing you to park up and take the train to visit Glasgow & Edinburgh
