Sealladh Breagha offers traditional Scottish hospitality & great value for money. Located in beautiful open countryside, it is a small family run Guest House in the historic village of Gartmore. With 2 beautiful bedrooms looking out to Ben Lomond over fields, forest & moorland. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with Guests bath robes, hospitality tray, TV & hairdryer. Ideally located for Loch Lomond, Aberfoyle, Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow & the historic Trossachs.

Your Host : Janet

“Spotlessly clean, great breakfasts and hospitality, close to a wonderful pub and a great base for exploring” are typical Guest’s comments.

Quietly located on the edge of Gartmore village Sealladh Breagha (or the Gartmore B&B as it also known) is the perfect Scottish Guest House for those looking for a quiet location to chill out and enjoy Scotland’s 1st National Park. Locally there is golf, cycle hire, horse riding & Gorge walking.

Their 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 family room) are spacious and comfortable and ensuite. Both rooms have Tea/Coffee, Hairdryers, Books, TVs and of course a Spectacular View. Janet proudly only uses quality bed linen and towels and Guests are even supplied with bathrobes. Her cooked to order breakfasts are now legendary and include eggs from their own chickens and homemade bread!

A delicious breakfast to set you on your way: 1st help yourself to yoghurt, grapefruit segments, fruit juice and a variety of cereals. Then choose from Porridge | Bacon | Sausage | Tomato | Mushrooms | Eggs (cooked how you like them) | Black Pudding | Tattie Scone & Beans.

Muddy Boots and Muddy Wheels are very welcome. Janet welcomes walkers and cyclists and she is happy to store (or if needed) even launder your mucky gear. She can also provide safe storage for your equipment such as boots, wet jackets and cycles. The only thing she asks is that you don’t bring your wet and muddy gear into the house. Sorry, Janet doesn’t take dogs but nearby is the excellent Karuba Kennels who are well known for their canine hospitality.

For those that need it they can also give guidance on local walking and cycling routes. Within a few minutes of cycling you will have access to hundreds of miles of forest tracks and hidden lochans. A must do cycle and walk is the forest track to Aberfoyle, or if you prefer you can take the old railway walk into Aberfoyle village, from there it is a pleasant stroll up to the David Marshall Lodge and Go Ape. “No light pollution here”. Our blanket wrapped starry, starry skies make this a perfect location for ‘Star Gazing’.

A great base to explore Scotland: Stirling Railway is just 30 minutes away, Glasgow Airport and Glasgow’s railway stations are only 45 minutes away and Edinburgh Airport is just 50 minutes away and you can be within the City Centre within 1 hour. Perth is also less than an hour away.
