Dating back to 1693 Ross Priory is truly one of Scotland’s Hidden Gems. Guests are often awe-struck as they arrive up the private drive and are greeted by one of Scotland’s most beautiful buildings and loch side locations.

Located in a beautiful and unrivalled location. Ross Priory quietly sits on the banks of Loch Lomond and has stunning views of Ben Lomond and the surrounding hills. Guests often choose not to explore further afield but instead choose to explore and enjoy its stunning architecture, peaceful and quirky gardens and scenery.

Arrive & leave your stress behind. Guests have often said “they feel they are at a spiritual retreat” and comment “on the warm smiles and great service”. Their favourite discoveries are the tree that was struck by lightning or just siting on one of the many benches and taking in the breath taking views of Loch Lomond.

One night is never enough! With so much to do at (and close to) the Priory many Guests have said “they don’t want to leave”. They enjoy the building, the friendly staff, the grounds and the delicious lunches, dinners and Ross Priory’s famous High Teas.

Prepare to be spoilt Within Ross Priory are 11 en-suite bedrooms let on a B&B basis. Spacious & attractively decorated they have TV’s, tea/coffee making facilities & hairdryers. They can sleep up to 24 in 5 doubles (double or king-size bed), 2 family rooms (each with a double and single bed) 4 twin rooms (each with 2 single beds).

Also on site is a Self Catering Cottage available for weekly rental. Owned by the University of Strathclyde Ross Priory can also be hired privately for Weddings, re-unions, functions, conferences and events.

How to finds us: From Glasgow follow the M8 over the Erskine Bridge then take the A82 for Loch Lomond. Past Dumbarton follow the A811 to Gartocharn on the Drymen/Stirling road. In Gartocharn, turn left into Ross Loan and after approximately one mile you will see the gates of Ross Priory leading into a long straight avenue to the house.

From Stirling and the North East make for the A809 road. Just past Drymen take the A811 to Balloch and after a few miles make a right turn into Ross Loan, and continue as above. There is FREE PARKING at the Ross Priory car park.
