The Whisky Lovers Trail highlights 12 different whisky distilleries as well as whisky specialized hotels and bars with each other. While the distilleries offer great whisky tasting tours you can enjoy a large number of Scotch Whiskies from all whisky regions of Scotland and The Isles in many bars and hotels in the National Park. Some Hotels can even organise a whole package for your whisky break, including the visit to one or more distilleries.
The George Hotel
The George Hotel is Camra Argyll Pub of the year 2011 winner and earns its place in the good pub beer guide. They have over 100 malts and an extensive wine list with their best selling being Islay Whisky. You can choose to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or a traditional glass of malt in our mature south facing beer garden or our cocktail bar in front of its roaring fire. The George is a lively traditional Scottish Hotel with lovely individual rooms and offers great food all year round. Inveraray is also a lovely town on the shores of Loch Fyne famous for locally caught fish dishes.

The Inn on Loch Lomond
The Inn on Loch Lomond has a large range of whiskies including some of the most exclusive and best single malts as well as the finest blends. Working with expert Gordon McPhail, the Inn has hand-picked whiskies from the top seven whisky regions in Scotland. The hotel is a member of the Scottish Whisky Embassy and a host of tasting notes and sampling nights. Situated on Loch Lomond overlooking Ben Lomond, the hotel serves great food has has some very nice lochside rooms and suites right on the shore.
Poppies Hotel
Poppies’ Scottish malt whisky collection is one of the finest in the area with a choice of over 120 whiskies. It ranges from the local Edradour and Glengoyne to some of the great names from the Highlands, Islands and Lowlands. Besides the ‘standards’, Poppies Hotel has Directors’ Editions, de luxes, cask strength and Rare bottles. Callander is a busy town in the Heart of The Trossachs and hosts a great Jazz and Blues Festival each year in the Autumn.

Buchanan Arms Hotel organises two night whisky breaks including trips to Glengoyne Distillery and food from the hotel. The range of Scotch malt whiskies is one of the finest in the area and features local and regional favourites such as Glengoyne and Auchentoshan as well as some great names from the Highlands, Islands and Lowlands.
The Winnock Hotel
The Ptarmigan Bar has a selection of more than 70 whiskies from across Scotland including many rare single malts. Situated in the picturesque village of Drymen on The West Highland Way you are sure to enjoy a good whisky after a hard days walking.
The Lake Hotel
The Lake Hotel has a Malt Whisky Tasting room in the hotel bar. This offers guests, by invitation the opportunity to taste and purchase many rare and special edition Malts rarely available elsewhere. This is a working showcase giving customers the opportunity to learn more about the making and history of Malt Whisky. Located on the edge of Scotland’s only lake, The Lake of Menteith with stunning sunsets, the Lake Hotel is a real gem.
The Ardlui Hotel
The Ardlui Hotel is a Whisky Ambassador Hotel with a range of great whiskies available. Located at the north end of Loch Lomond it is a good base for walking the many Munros nearby and has a Holiday park and Marina.
